Apprenticeship is part of thyssenkrupp's DNA: training today the skills that will drive tomorrow's performance. Following a recruitment campaign carried out in the spring, our Training department has selected motivated and complementary profiles: production, maintenance, quality, HSE, supply chain, support functions... This diversity reflects our industrial model and the richness of our professions. From the very first day of training, our management and tutors emphasize safety, quality, team spirit and the desire to learn. The objective is clear: to give each apprentice the reference points, the tools and the confidence to make a concrete contribution to the site's projects.

The induction program has been designed as a real "job induction course". After a safety welcome, company presentation and breakfast, the site visit took the form of a team treasure hunt, punctuated by safety, quality and production "good reflexes" workshops. A final quiz served to reinforce what had been learnt and to remind the trainees of the HSE rules: appropriate PPE, reporting of near-misses, compliance with workstation standards. Each apprentice then met his tutor, signed his roadmap and planned his first few weeks: compulsory training, process discovery, project milestones, production immersion.
Thanks to partnerships with our various partners, we align the skills taught in class with our industrial needs; "feedback" sequences will be shared at the end of the trial period to adjust if necessary.

For our teams, these arrivals bring a fresh outlook and positive energy that stimulate continuous improvement. On our lines, apprentices quickly contribute to concrete projects: preparation for series changeovers, 5S on workstations, assisted visual inspection, capability of resources, updating of standards. For our customers, this is the guarantee of a site that invests in long-term skills and the transmission of know-how, in the service of quality and deadlines. Apprentices benefit from a reassuring framework, support from experienced professionals and measurable objectives: 100% safety achievement in key gestures, mastery of operating procedures, contribution to an improvement indicator (OEE, compliance rate, cycle time) defined with the tutor.

Behind every apprenticeship contract, there's a binomial. Our tutors : operators, technicians, supervisors, engineers mobilize to pass on the right reflexes, share constraints in the field and encourage success. Group events punctuate the integration period: experience feedback, safety briefings, and time dedicated to site life (company restaurant, social areas, in-house associations). We haven't forgotten those who are coming to the end of their career this year: thank you for your commitment, and bon voyage for the future. Some are staying with us and extending their adventure to perfect their level of study, and it's a pleasure to keep them with us!

The next few weeks will be dedicated to ramp-up on the job: increasing autonomy, validation of authorizations, first improvement projects. Milestones are scheduled to measure progress, adjust the roadmap and share successes.
