Robotics at the heart of Thyssenkrupp Presta

It would be difficult to imagine Industry 4.0 without the exploitation of robotics during our processes.
In fact, this technology is essential in the transformation of our facilities to achieve our goals of tomorrow.
Whether simply to gain in performance or to enable the positioning of Men on actions with higher added value, robotization is and will be at the heart of our automated machines.

Handling robots (Autopack, Autoload and unloading stations)

Committed to an approach that aims to reduce the drudgery of work, we led a reflection on the subject of repetitive and tedious tasks.

The strategy is to automate loading and unloading stations with complex robotic systems, using vision to " unscramble " components to be loaded into a machine or to pack finished products, coming off our high-speed assembly lines.

Collaborative robots

thyssenkrupp Presta France was the first Group subsidiary to implement collaborative robots to assist operators in their tasks, whether to facilitate meticulous work or relieve the carrying of loads.

For example, we have improved :

  • The positioning of small components : O-rings, handles etc...

  • The loading of heavy and/or bulky components
